Courtney and Matt’s Warehouse Wedding at The Old Pickle Factory
Dated : 16 October 2018
The ceremony was held at Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth, sharing their love story with their friends and family. Adorned with whimsical florals, custom steel plinths by The Steel Art Co added a strong design element to the lush garden setting.
The Old Pickle Factory provided the perfect inner-city blank canvas with an industrial feel, the bride shares her styling inspiration. “It was all about the colour – muted greys and tonal blushes. Using subtle colours and textures I wanted to soften the space and create warmth in a clean and simple way.”
Courtney’s sister is the talented florist behind Floral Army, so there was no question that the blooms were going to be next level gorgeous. Mixing soft and velvety flora with orchids for a dramatic and modern aesthetic, the venue was transformed into a textural wonderland. Two floral chandeliers were the centrepiece of the warehouse space, with abundant groupings of hydrangea, phalaenopsis orchids and roses illuminated by gold dipped pendant globes from Micktric.
Opting for the social and relaxed vibe of a cocktail style reception, the couple worked with Creative Catering to create a modern New York inspired canape menu and ‘his & hers’ cocktails. The bride’s favourite element of the space was the lounge area, with blush velvet sofas from Event Artillery and two curved steel structures full of beautiful blooms and branches from her Grandmother’s garden.
